Who
UrsaMed is a medical training based program created in New Zealand to meet the regulatory requirements for Core Health First Aid and Medical training. We are a registered Private Training Establishment with the New Zealand Qualification Authority.
What
We have an established network of experienced first aid instructors who have proven and practical experience in pre-hospital and in-hospital training and treatment including, but not exclusive to, the Ambulance Sector, Surf Life Saving, Nursing, the Dive Industry, Police, Fire, Security and the Military.
UrsaMed is a new training company formed in 2018 and also offers Training Design and Emergency Medical Planning as well as Role Players and Moulage for medical and emergency exercises and training. Our CEO has experience in delivering and developing Medical Training in New Zealand and Across the Globe since 2007 in both Peacetime and in Conflict.

Why
I have been a trainer for 30 years and a combat medic for 20 years. I have seen too many deaths in combat and internationally due to poor training. I have created a device that can simulate bleeding - anywhere, anytime. Without bulky apparatus and with the ability to simulate a bleed completely out of the blue this gives our soldiers, paramedics, doctors and more, the opportunity to train for the worst.
This is where the real training begins.

As a Senior Trainer for the NZ Defence Force, I am passionate about training, especially in the medical industry. I have written organisational processes and policies for Defence and Animal Welfare in:

I have invented a revolutionary tool for medical training and am currently working through a business model and plan for my award winning invention. It has enormous global potential and is exciting as it will provide unprecedented realism in training which in turn will save lives.
I have a passion for training and ensuring as much realism in training as possible, as I have seen the results of poor training in some of the harshest environments. The better we can train our members of the public, emergency services, military and everyone, the more lives we can save. The ability to “"See, Think and Act” when faced with a medical situation is key to the success of the casualties outcome.
